Being a new writer, I still have the ability to “play around,” like a freshman in college with an undecided major. Both my short stories and full length novels tend to be contemporary fiction, both adult and young adult, although I did write a YA fantasy novella once about a girl in a magical world who befriends a statue. My partner says that was his favorite piece of mine, but like all my other manuscripts, it is sitting idle on my desktop (and Gmail, and Google drive, because I am terrified of losing anything.)
Right now, I am working on querying my debut contemporary YA novel, MIND OVER MATTER.
